Haiti Empowered
Board Member & Treasurer
Founded in 2005, Haiti Empowered is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission of “Equipping Children. Giving Hope for Generations.” The organization provides education, nutrition, and medical care across 14 villages in the Léogâne area of Haiti, serving over 2,800 students from Pre-K through Grade 13, plus trade school programs. With 231 Haitian employees, Haiti Empowered also delivers free medical and dental care, guidance counseling, and Bible education — helping families move from surviving to thriving.
Why Riches Redeemed?

High schoolers were graduating without understanding how money actually works — not just budgeting, but the industries, systems, and institutions that shape their financial lives. And the existing options either ignored faith entirely or treated it as a decorative add-on. I wanted to build something where Scripture isn't just quoted — it's the foundation every chapter is built on. Health & Fitness Educator | Homeschool Mom
Katie Williams holds a BBA in Marketing and Communications from Texas Christian University. She teaches health and fitness and homeschools the couple's four children, ages 12–16. Her passion for holistic student development and hands-on teaching style bring a practical, family-centered perspective to Riches Redeemed. As the curriculum's first and most rigorous tester, Katie ensures every chapter works not just in theory, but at the kitchen table — where real learning happens.
Katie's experience educating four children across multiple subjects — from health and fitness to financial literacy — gives her a unique vantage point grounded in the daily realities families actually face. Her feedback has shaped the curriculum's tone, pacing, and practical application throughout.
